Diddy Trial Day 11: Cassie’s new baby, explosive cocktails, and how to persuade a jury

Welcome to Day 11 of the Diddy trial
Thanks for making it this far. If you’ve been reading along, then you may recall a few of the explosive testimonies that I’ve been breaking down to no tomorrow.
A few things to remember:
Kid Cudi had his car blown up, Diddy loves ketchup, The Punisher noticed Diddy get freaky with other men’s cum, and Cassie was forced to do a four-day freak-off (to name a few).
But that was so last week. Since then, we’ve heard even more.
A few updates that come to mind off the top of my head:
Cassie just gave birth to a baby boy mid trial
Fingerprints from Cudi’s car allegedly may have been tampered with
Capricorn Clarke is the biggest wild card out of all witnesses so far
So let’s get started.
Cassie giving birth
I think Cassie giving birth is an ironic example of just how crazy this trial has been.
From Day 1, Diddy’s defense team tried to use Cassie being pregnant as an unfair advantage. They claimed it would create sympathy with the jury, doing so much as to ask that she remain seated to cover her jstomach.
I can’t help but wonder if the stress of this trial unintentionally induced labor. Hopefully I’m wrong but who knows.
The tea on Cudi’s car
Fingerprints from Cudi’s car allegedly may have been tampered with. Who tampered with or potentially destroyed the fingerprints?
Right now, the word is that it might’ve been someone from LAPD.
That’s right, after a little bit of back and forth the judge decided they would deny Diddy’s defense team’s request of a mistrial.
But let’s go back a little bit. Cudi’s car was allegedly set on fire with a Molotov cocktail (gas, cloth, and a malt liquor bottle). Diddy’s defense team was so fixated on having a part of Cudi’s testimony struck from the record that they literally requested it.
The defense also tried to accuse Cudi’s testimony of being merely speculative. But let’s play along for a second. If Cudi’s testimony was cap, wouldn’t the fingerprints tell us the truth?
We would be able to at least know who is responsible for Cudi’s car blowing up. But ironically, we don’t have that information.
Part of running a criminal organization means having buy-in and relying on others to do your crimes with you and or for you.
No one is gonna say it but my speculation is that someone from LAPD works for Diddy and took care of Cudi’s Porsche. But hey, what do I know.
Revisiting Capricorn’s testimony
Capricorn Clarke spoke on Day 10 of the trial. And I’m honestly fascinated by her. She is arguably the only person who has testified so far that has worked so closely with Diddy over a long period of time.
In other words, she got the tea. I went back and did more research on her testimony. And I found more details that I think are worth mentioning.
First off, Capricorn alleges she was kidnapped by Diddy on the day he went to her house before going to Cudi’s house. She wasn’t “with the shits.” It was against her will.
Not gonna lie, I thought Diddy just pulled up and was like “we out.” And she kinda knew what was happening. But hey, there’s two sides to every story. So honestly while I wanna believe her, we’ll also just never know.
Also, while she was in Diddy’s Escalade Capricorn said that Diddy and the bodyguard actually chased Cudi as he got out of his home. Huh?
I think this is interesting because Cudi actually never made those claims in his testimony. In fact, he said that the only reason why he knew his car was on fire was because his pet sitter called him and told him. Which makes it sound like Cudi wasn’t even at home. Idk.
Again, I’m surprised no one’s talking about this but the stories are differing. Capricorn’s story and Cudi’s story align in some ways, but they still differ in others.
Capricorn said there was a chase. Cudi never mentioned it. Capricorn said she got a burner phone for Cassie to talk to Cudi on the low. But Cudi never mentioned it. Cudi said he actually met Diddy after the Porsche incident at an LA restaurant. Was Capricorn there? Who knows. But this brings me to my next point.
The reality of court testimonies and jury swaying
Alright, I’m gonna be real here. The unfortunate truth about the US court system is that the power of great storytelling helps win a lot of cases.
You know what I mean. The heart string-pulling. The showmanship. The ability to not just explain the facts, but effectively paint a vivid picture for the jury.
It’s subtle but true. Great storytelling ultimately decides whether or not an innocent person receives justice or a guilty person walks free.
So, whether or not Cudi’s testimony is iron-clad or memories are fuzzy doesn’t even matter at this point.
I think the main point is that the jury is seeing a pattern with Diddy. That based on the allegations he’s calculated, well connected, abusive, and likes to be in control.
How this ties into the RICO charge (my personal thoughts)
Well, let’s go back. Capricorn alleges that she was kidnapped by Diddy on the day of Cudi’s house breaking. And apparently Diddy’s break in was ruled as a trespass. Two important facts.
Not only that, but when Diddy’s Escalade’s license plate was checked, it turns out that the car was owned by Bad Boy Records. Why is that important? Well, when you’re trying to prove a RICO, it’s important to show that organized crime exists within an organization.
Emphasis on organized. Meaning any additional resources, people, or locations used by a business to progress a crime can constitute a RICO (please bear with me I’m not a lawyer).
My point is, the allegations towards Diddy insinuate that the crimes couldn’t take place without help from other people. That is critical.
The bigger question we deserve to know is, who are those people and how many of them will we actually see take the stand. I guess we’ll just have to see.
Question: What’s been your biggest takeaway from Diddy’s trial so far?
