Diddy Trial Day 12: Sexual assault, spaghetti, and a little period blood

On Day 12 of the Diddy trial we dive into Michael B. Jordan's connection to Cassie, Diddy's taxes, and a reference about a bowl of spaghetti

Sean "Diddy" Combs makes a heart gesture as he enters the coutroom for his sex trafficking trial in New York City

Hey y’all

Thanks for stopping by for today’s recap of Day 12. Let’s dive straight in.

Today we’re gonna be covering everything from yesterday’s testimony including:

  • Mia’s toxic work experiences with Diddy

  • Prince’s mansion

  • The set up from Deonte Nash

  • What Diddy might potentially do next according to rumors

Who is Mia?

Oh Mia? Glad you asked. She’s one of the many recent former employees of Diddy who are now coming to the stand. She’s alleging that Diddy sexually harmed her multiple times. Particularly around 2009, where she said Diddy literally jumped on top of her while she was sleeping in a bunk bed in his house and woke up to him assaulting her. “I just froze” she said, calling the situation “quick, yet terrifying.” Damn.

Another situation involved a bowl of spaghetti and a tampon. Apparently, Diddy chucked some ravioli at her dome for simply saying she needed to go change her tampon. Huh? He then screamed at her, chased her upstairs, and suspended her without pay. Because having your period while at work isn’t enough am I right? What a bizarre ass world the entertainment industry is.

Anyways, Mia said she started to realize shit was getting a lil too real when she saw Diddy slam Cassie’s head into a bedframe in 2013. Apparently, another employee monkey jumped onto Diddy’s back to stop it.

Physical abuse and the psychological toll it creates

I think it’s interesting to monitor the traumatic veil that oftentimes gets created when someone is physically or emotionally harm. Dawn covered this a lot in an earlier trial day. But to keep things simple, here’s quote that I gathered:

This is important remember because it’s really easy to judge someone without being in their shoes. I think this explains why Mia might not have recognized how dangerous it was working with Diddy until things only got worse. Continuing on, Mia said her job included doing Diddy’s taxes and cracking his knuckles. Bruh…

Reading Line A3 while cracking the same thumb Diddy smacked you with is fuckin insane. I know it’s inappropriate to say, but someone has to say it. Mia really painted a clear picture of a portrait that we’ve seen day in and day out during this trial. Diddy is maniac.

The Michael B. Jordan situationship revisited

Another interesting witness was Deonte Nash. Who admitted to connecting Michael B. Jordan with Cassie after she had just broke up with Diddy. Apparently this was right after Cassie found out Diddy had cheated. Long story short, the defense wasn’t happy. So much that they argued that Cassie wasn’t “trapped” the way she claimed she was.

Now I’m not gonna lie that argument is really flawed and kind of separate from what Cassie’s testimony is even about. Imagine your man cheating, you breaking up with them, and them saying “See you acting like you was trapped this whole time, now look atchu.” That’s crazy. Nash also testified that Diddy in fact used Cassie’s sextape as blackmail to her and maintain control of her career (which we already knew but hey).

Does hooking up with someone else automatically mean you we’re never abused by your ex?

The defense seems to think so. And their trying everything they can to convince the jury. But the funny thing is, the RICO charge is still looming over Diddy’s head. And based on this additional testimony from Mia, it’s not helping his case. Will Diddy take the stand? Some think he will. But as of right now it might be unlikely. I think the last thing Diddy’s lawyers want is for him to incriminate himself on the stand. But hey, crazier shit has happened. Remember when Tory Lanez testified? I digress.

Question: Should Diddy take the stand? What do you think.
