Diddy Trial Day 6: Diddy's defense team steps on Dawn's testimony and former bestie speaks out

it, we covered last week in entirety here. Coming an off blown up car, the Michael B. Jordan situationship, and hotel beatdown footage, last week was pretty intense to say the least.

Safe to say, I’m on the edge of my seat to see what this week brings. Starting with Monday May 19th. Today we’re covering the biggest highlights from Day 6 of the Diddy trial: 

• Dawn’s graphic testimony

• The defense’s brutal cross examination against Dawn 

• Kerry (Cassie’s former best friend) speaks up

This week’s court drama kicked off with former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard, who returned to the witness stand after testifying right behind Cassie Ventura on Friday.

If the name sounds familiar, it’s because Richard met Combs on Making the Band 3, the same reality TV petri dish that spawned Danity Kane. She didn’t just pass through his orbit, she also joined his project, Diddy-Dirty Money. What does that tell us?

Well, she probably had a front-row seat to a lot of shit. And that seems to be the case (no pun intended). Because just days before Diddy got indicted in September 2024, Richard actually filed her own lawsuit against Diddy for sexual abuse.

Now if you didn’t know, Dawn testified last week that her homegirl Cassie got beat over the head with a skillet filled with eggs by Diddy. Yes you read that right. No this is not ragebait. Anyway’s what’s more wild is how the defense responded to Dawn’s allegations.

They literally called sis out for still trying to work with Diddy after the fact that she saw Diddy allegedly put hands on Cassie. The defense even went as far to say that Dawn’s story doesn’t even line up with what she said about the incident between Cassie and Diddy in the past. And she agreed!

Unfortunately, Dawn admitted to this inconsistency and admitted that the incident happened a long time agogo so it wasn’t easy to remember. Damn…

Another interesting moment was when Kerry Morgan, Cassies former bestie, came to the stand to not only confirm Diddy’s violent acts towards Cassie but to also accuse Diddy of allegedly assaulting her as well. Chileeee. The beats just don’t seem to stop with Diddy.

What really makes Kerry an interesting witness is how neutral she truly is in all of this. She’s arguably the first witness to have no direct affiliation to Cassie outside of being former bestfriends. That speaks volumes in a courtroom, because it really speaks to the fact that Kerry doesn’t have a dog in this fight.
