What are we gonna do if Meg wasn't allegedly shot by Tory?

There’s been a lot of talk regarding the recent news surrounding Meg and Tory. If you didn't already hear, something came out last week saying that Tory did not shoot Meg.

Instead the rumor is that it was Kelsey Harris, Meg’s former friend. Weird right? Either way the entire thing had me wondering, what this means for Tory. And even more interestingly, what this could mean for Meg.

It’s worth mentioning that the rumor about Kelsey shooting Meg has been circulating for years. It’s almost uncomfortable to bring it up again. But what’s more interesting isn’t rehashing this rumor. It’s this TikTok post that Meg released.

Now this is a sensitive case and I don’t have a dog in this fight. I also want to be sensitive when I say this. But I’m genuinely confused by this response from Meg. Lashing out like this over a 4 year old rumor made me a little confused. Especially if you know you’re innocent.

So I’m gonna pose you with this question. If you’ve been keeping up with the Meg and Tory case, and you found out that Tory was indeed innocent, how would you react?

When public opinion screams louder than the actual story

Separate from the Meg and Tory case, there’s been an ongoing pattern in entertainment news. After spending the last 18 to 20 weeks, consistently covering this corner of online news, I think it’s safe to say that we’re cooked.

I think we’re at a point in social media where scrolling for tea and creating lore has officially become more important than the truth itself. “No shit KP WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN.” I know, I know. We always knew it was happening.

But now I’d argue that it’s the end game for many at this point. Literally I find myself reading stories with headlines and write ups that leave me more confused than when I first read them. Like wtf is even real anymore.

And more importantly,

If foggy commentary is now the thing, what do we do when there’s a wrinkle in the story. An uno reverse if you will. And all the shit that we consumed about a story turns out to be the opposite of what really happened. I mean seriously, ChatGPT can only do so much. SLOAN, Candace Owens, Joe Budden, and Akademiks can only do so much.

It’s definitely an interesting time. But anyways.
